The on-board electrical system has at least one energy source (1), at least one voltage-sensitive load (3a,3b) and at least one voltage-robust load (6,7a,7b). The on-board electrical system is divided into at least one constant branch (K) that contains a voltage stabilizer (4) and the voltage-sensitive load and at least one normal branch (N) that contains the voltage-robust load. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of supplying current to loads in an on-board electrical system of a motor vehicle.
