The device has a seat data acquisition device, a seat data memory and a controller for adjusting a defined seat setting using the associated setting data, whereby the seat has several adjustment motors for realizing many possible settings. The seat data acquisition device is stereoscopic optics with an associated image data computer and the optics are arranged inside the passenger compartment with a view towards the sitting surface of the seat. The device has a seat data acquisition device (6) for determining setting data, a seat data memory and a seat controller for adjusting a defined seat setting using the associated setting data, whereby the seat has several adjustment motors for realizing many possible settings. The seat data acquisition device is stereoscopic optics (7) with an associated image data computer and the optics are arranged inside the passenger compartment (10) with a view towards the sitting surface of the seat (2).
