Improved folding table arrangement in an automotive vehicle passenger compartment

A console (16) mounted on the vehicle floor delimits a compartment for the storage of the retracted table (10). The table comprises at least one panel (58,60) which extends in a vertical longitudinal plane in the retracted position and extends in a horizontal plane in the use position. The panel is pivoted on the console so that it reaches its use position by pivoting initially rearwards and upwards about a transverse spindle (57), and secondly towards one side and downwards around a longitudinal axis.
