Method and apparatus for symmetrizing the condensators of a battery of condensators

Three voltage levels are made available through a source of reference voltage in order to monitor the charging status of capacitors. A capacitor voltage is detected on each capacitor and compared with the three voltage levels. A correct charge for a capacitor is displayed if a capacitor's voltage lies between the two lower voltage levels. Capacitor malfunction is displayed if a capacitor's voltage is greater than the highest voltage level. It is only balanced if neither a correct charge nor a malfunction is shown. An Independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the method of the present invention.
