Abnormality determining device for longitudinal acceleration sensor for vehicle and method thereof

The device has a determination-permission deciding unit (4) that outputs a permission signal when the acceleration of a vehicle deviates from a preset. A determining unit (5) sets an abnormality determining region based on the estimated acceleration and determines that the sensor is abnormal when the sensor value exists in the abnormality region for a preset time.
