A connector assembling construction and assembling method

The connector assembling construction includes a moving-side connector, e.g. a connector fixed to the vehicle instrument panel module, that is displaced via guides along a vertical connecting direction (CD,VD) to connect the instrument panel connector (20) with a waiting-side connector (40) mounted on the body of a vehicle. The weight of the instrument panel assists in forming the interconnection. The moving-side connector is mounted on the module with a connecting surface having a normal vector inclined by less than 20 degrees with respect to a vertical direction (VD). The waiting-side connector is mounted on the body of a vehicle with a connecting surface having a normal vector inclined by less than 20 degrees with respect to the vertical direction. An independent claim is included for a connector assembly method for interconnecting the above connectors.
