A lithium secondary battery comprises: a positive electrode (5) including a material that is capable of reversible intercalation/deintercalation of lithium ions as a positive active material; a negative electrode (6) including a material that is capable of reversible intercalation/deintercalation of lithium ions as a negative active material; and an electrolyte including a lithium salt, a solvent consisting of at least one carbonate-based organic solvent and optionally at least one aromatic hydrocarbon solvent, and an isoxazole compound of formula (1).
