A cushion body (2) of a headrest (1) is fitted to a vehicle seat by two supporting rods (3), and, in the event of impact of the vehicle, is movable with respect to the supporting rods (3) by an actuating device (4), wherein an actuating assembly (6), acting on the cushion body (2), is connected to a rear plate of a frame (5) housed inside the cushion body (2) and in turn connected releasably to the supporting rods (3); the actuating assembly (6) having a front plate (15) movable with respect to the rear plate (10) and connectable to a portion of the cushion body (2).
