Bipolar plate for PEM fuel cells

Bipolar plates for PEM fuel cells with a conductivity increasing carbon/filler filled polymer blend having at least two mutually immiscible blend polymers forming a co-continuous structure, where the carbon/filler is enriched in one of the blend polymers or in the phase boundary between the blend polymers, or the blend polymer in which the carbon/filler is enriched forms a continuous conductive matrix in which one further polymer blend is embedded are new. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for a process for preparation of the bipolar plates by preparation and forming of the polymer blends filled with conductivity increasing carbon/filler; (2) PEM fuel cells including bipolar plates; (3) a polymer blend filled with conductivity increasing carbon/filler material.
