March 24, 2004
Each exhaust gas outlet manifold (8, 10) is connected to its own exhaust gas turbocharger (12, 16), upstream of the common exhaust pipe (24). The turbocharger turbine wheels (12a, 16a) are driven via variable valves, as a function of engine loading and speed.
