System for guiding vehicles

Vehicle driving assistance system comprises a sensor arrangement (14) for acquisition of data relating to the surroundings, a control device, e.g. steering wheel, for input of driving command data by the driver and a control unit for control of the vehicle based on data received from the sensor and command units. The vehicle driving data comprises approach data, including vehicle future maneuvers, which are calculated for a predefined future time and are carried out semi- or completely automatically. An Independent claim is made for a method for automatic or semi-automatic driving of a vehicle based on driver input commands and surroundings data. The control method can incorporate use of a head-up display.
