Thrust reverser for a jet engine and hydraulic actuator

The assembly includes a return line which returns hydraulic fluid displaced from lower pressure side of a double-action hydraulic piston and cylinder device (16) to the high pressure side of the device in addition to fluid supply from a pressure source (28). A check valve (27) is provided to the return line to prevent flow of hydraulic fluid from the high pressure side to lower pressure side of device. The double-action hydraulic piston and cylinder device moves thrust reverser elements (12,13) between a stowed position and a deployed position. An independent claim is also included for a hydraulic system.
