Inflation assembly for variable profile air bag

The assembly has a gas generating inflator (40) with two activatable initiators such that upon activation of initiators produces different volume of inflation gas .An inflatable air bag cushion (20) is in fluid communication with the inflator such that upon discharge of the gas from the inflator the cushion is inflated to a deployed state. A restraining tether unit (30) is connected to operate with the air bag cushion.
