An automobile inertia kinetic energy regeneration system
DRIVE
March 17, 2004
The system has a driving unit (15) installed on an automobile drive shaft (10) to grasp at a clutch that drives a power generator (40). The generator converts a braking inertia kinetic energy into pressurized air to be stored in a power tank (50). The shaft is driven by a pneumatic motor (70) connected to an electromagnetic clutch (80) that grasps at the unit when a driver attempts to start a vehicle.
