The motor vehicle air suspension system consists of a compressor, at least one air spring with level regulating device and at least one damper. The at least one damper is an air damper connected to the compressor via a pressure transmitter (7). A variable pressure transmittance ratio can be adjusted at the pressure transmitter. The secondary pressure of the pressure transmitter can be varied with the aid of the stroke of a movable inner part (16).
