An axle for vehicles, in particular for lift trucks, comprising a differential gear (7) unit having a crown wheel and pinion gear arrangement (8, 9) at the drive input in the differential gear unit, and a reduction gear unit (14) which is kinematically interposed between the crown wheel and pinion gear arrangement (8, 9) and the differential gear unit (7).
