Driven running gear for railway vehicles
DRIVE
March 3, 2004
The train may collect direct current from an overhead wire (9). The input current (8) may flow through a smoothing circuit (10) to the DC side (2) of a pulse current inverter (1). The AC side (3) is connected to four motors (PSM1-4) in parallel. The motors and one line of the three-phase power supply are connected (6) to a torque regulation circuit (4). This circuit has an input (5) from the driver or other control system and sends a control signal (7) to the inverter.
