Airbag module and assembly comprising a steering wheel and an airbag module

The airbag assembly (14) is mounted on a set of coil springs (30) fastened to the hub region of the steering wheel (10). The springs engage on lugs on the lid (16) and the carrier for the gas generator (18). The lugs extend into the spring side-by-side. There is a snap connection (22) to hold the lid and the gas generator together.
