Airbag having venting apertures designed for differential control of the venting surface area and the bursting pressure of the sealing patch The invention relates to an airbag whose inflatable bag (12) comprises a venting aperture (30, 40, 50) made in the bag (12) which is sealed by a patch (22) which has to be ruptured by the effect of internal pressure. The aperture (30, 40, 50) is of H-shaped, C-shaped, cruciform or any other configuration in which the surface area of the aperture is less than the venting surface area resulting after the rupturing of the patch and wherein the bursting pressure of the patch can be modified by varying one of the internal dimensions of the aperture.
