A vehicle roof module having a foldable roof lining for its assembly, and method of manufacturing the same

The roof module for a vehicle, which is installed into a vehicle body opening from above, comprises a solid outer shell (12) and a roof section (14) located over its central region (16). The edges (18,24) of the roof section can be folded downwards along fold lines (20,26,28). The roof consists of PET. The PET can be in fleece or fibre form.
