Latch for an automotive vehicle having a convertible roof

A latching system (32) for an automotive vehicle having a convertible roof (21) is provided. In another aspect of the present invention, front and/or rear convertible roof sections (23,25) are rigid, hard-top roofs. A further aspect of the present invention provides a latch which secures a generally rigid tonneau cover (29).
