Device and method for increasing power of an internal combustion engine

With engines having computer control the fuel supply can be increased from that required for normal power to a level which will increase the power. The invention proposes that under specific driving conditions, e.g. in first or reverse gear, the increased level is reduced or even cancelled. An independent claim is also included for equipment.
