Turbine for a rotary atomizer
DRIVE
January 28, 2004
The turbine drive is for a rotary atomizer with a radial paddle assembly (5) with a flow through it, on a carrier surface (4) of the turbine wheel (3). The drive channel (13) at the turbine wheel, defined by the carrier surface, is also closed on the other side by the rotating cover disk (12) fitted to the turbine wheel. The inflow (10) for the drive air at the turbine is structured as a Laval jet, with a steadily increasing cross section to the opening into the drive channel.
