The container has a housing, a removable container shell and a raising mechanism for lifting the shell from a working position into a gripping position for removal. The raising mechanism has a rotatable actuating element and a transfer element that interacts with a pivot lever so that displacing the actuating element causes the lever to move on an arc so the round upper end of the lever contacts the underside of the shell and moves it upwards.
