Battery charger

The recharger (8) includes a second regulator (27) for controlling the output voltage (Vout) in order to maintain it at a pre- determined value. A system (28-30) is provided for detecting the output current (Iout). An activation system (24, 25) provided can adopt a first state in which it activates a first regulator (23) until a negative or positive output current is detected, or it can adopt a second state in which it activates the second regulator until the an output current with a value of approximately zero is detected. An Independent claim is also included for a battery recharging method.
