The device has at least one light source (4) and associated light collection light conductor (5) with at least one light inlet surface associated with the light source, at least one separate outlet surface and at least two peripheral lateral total reflection surface areas (10) between the inlet and outlet surfaces. The total reflection surface areas are mutually inclined so the light conductor cross-section widens towards the outlet surface.
