"textContent": "The vehicle has autonomous units with input/output interfaces and knowledge bases that provide some functionality of vehicle functions to be controlled. Each autonomous unit connects to a communications partner for the partial functionality when the system starts up to carry out the required vehicle function and gives up the interaction on request, then interacts with an alternative autonomous unit in accordance with a taxonomic representation. The vehicle has controllers and at least one data bus (4) for networking the controllers, which control actuators and sensors. Autonomous units (1) with input/output interfaces (3,5) and knowledge bases (13) provide some of the functionality of vehicle functions to be controlled. Each autonomous unit connects to a communications partner for the partial functionality when the system starts up to carry out the required vehicle function and gives up the interaction on request, then interacts with an alternative autonomous unit in accordance with a taxonomic representation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a network in a vehicle with several network components; and (b) a taxonomic representation of an inventive network or vehicle.",
