Torque control in deceleration of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle comprising a continuous variable transmission (CVT)
DRIVE
January 7, 2004
The vehicle braking operates by detecting wheel torque required by the driver, determining the engine power required, and when this is negative, determining the reference value for the operating regime of the engine, so that required power is obtained with minimum fuel injection. The engine is then operated in this regime, with power limited to the maximum that can be dissipated by the engine.
