The battery (B) mounting has a tray base with four walls (4a,4b;5a,5b) which provide lateral location for the battery. The battery has a heel (2b) along the bottom edges of both long faces (1a,1b). A ridge along one of the long walls (4a) of the tray fits over the battery heel, and a clamp (7) on the other wall (4b) locks or releases the heel on the other side of the battery.
