Apparatus for generating hydrogen

DRIVE January 7, 2004
Source
Production of hydrogen by oxidation of a hydrocarbon fuel comprises feeding the fuel (1) and oxidant (2) into a reactor (3) containing a porous material (4') formed so that flame spreading is prevented in the flow direction, and reacting the fuel with the oxidant in partial oxidation so that the hydrogen is obtained in gaseous form. An Independent claim is also included for a device for producing hydrogen by oxidation of a hydrocarbon fuel.
