A gear drive unit, especially to adjust moving parts in a motor vehicle, comprises a housing (14) with a fixed notched element (24) which, with a receiving unit, can operate an adjusting device. The maximum deflection of the element is limited in the turning direction by a first piece (30) and in the opposite direction by a second piece (32).
