January 2, 2004
The internal combustion engine induction system has a housing with an upper section (2) fastened to a lower section (1). An exhaust gas cooler (7) forms part of the upper housing section and has a central channel with fins inside an outer casing (25). There are connections for cooling fluid (8,9) at one end and a pressure die cast divider plate (3) at the other end. The system includes a fresh air inlet channel (14) and a throttle valve (13). There is a mixing system for air and cooled exhaust gas, with an EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) control valve (4).
