Accordingly, the fuel injection pressure is reduced from the fuel injection pressure set in accordance with the operational condition of the engine when the particulate amount trapped in the particulate filter (12) reaches the predeterminable amount, so that the combustion slowly proceeds to increase the exhaust-gas temperature, thereby regenerating the particulate filter (12) while suppressing the occurrence of misfire.",
