The arrangement has an elevation mechanism with at least one releasable lifting spring (20) between connecting parts (40,42) for the body (39) and front hood (12) for raising the front hood, preferably on the windscreen side, from the closed position to a raised collision position. The mechanical lifting spring is free to bend transversely to its lifting direction when released by lateral forces via the front hood.
