The fixing which secures the end of a seat belt against a fixed plate on a vehicle body has a holding element (8) which is formed integral with or connectable to the end fitment (1) of the belt and when the end fitment is installed can be connected to a counter holding element of the fixed component which is secured on the vehicle. The holding element can have one or more push-in elements (13) which fit into corresponding sockets (14) in the fixed component. The sockets can be recesses in the base plate (5)of the vehicle.
