DRIVE
December 10, 2003
A flow-through pressure regulator (10) includes a retainer (302) that secures a diaphragm (300) relative to a seat (304), and includes a cylindrical portion (320), an axial end portion (322) and an annular portion (332). The cylindrical portion (320) extends about a longitudinal axis (A) and is fixed with respect to the seat (304). The axial end portion (322) extends from the cylindrical portion (322) and extends generally orthogonal relative to the longitudinal axis (A). The axial end portion (322) includes a plurality of apertures (324,326) that permit fluid communication and are selected so as to reduce noise due to fluid flow.
