DRIVE
December 3, 2003
The fork lift has rear wheels which are driven by hydraulic motors (8a), each wheel being separately supplied from hydrostatic pumps (9,10). The front steering wheels (4) pivot about an axis (3) and control unit (12) has steering driven cams with valves which control pump flow and sense such that for any steering position the driving wheel speeds are maintained to a ratio which will prevent slipping and skidding An Independent claim is also included for : An articulated forklift which uses the hydrostatic driving wheel speed control system
