"textContent": "A radial pneumatic tire has sidewall reinforcement (21) shaped so that the center line (M) has a reversal of curvature (22). The central region (B) has a convex-concave profile, with the convex section towards the inside. The reinforcement (21) can be of the same material as the bead (5) and in one piece with it at the apex (17) or separate with a scarf join. The reinforcement (21) has three regions (A, B, C) with two curvature reversals (22, 23) between them. The radius of the upper region (A) is normally 30 to 40 mm, but 8 to 12 mm when running flat. The sidewall (4) is thinnest at the first curvature reversal (22). The curvature of the reinforcement (21) between the reversal points (22, 23) is greater when running flat than when normally inflated.",
