Mounting structure for a wheel carrier of a motor vehicle

In order to provide a controlled flexible connection between a spindle (11) of a motor-vehicle wheel and a structural member (12) of the suspension of that wheel, such as a trailing arm of a twist-beam axle or a wishbone, a flexible mounting structure (10) is proposed which provides at least one structural degree of freedom about a shear axis (T), the orientation of which can be defined at the design stage depending on the required operational specifications. The mounting structure (10) comprises a pair of properly orientated, flexible, blade-like elements (14), which are connected on the one side with a plate portion (13) carrying the spindle (11) and on the opposite side with the structural member (12) of the suspension.
