Vehicle with creep control function
DRIVE
November 5, 2003
Motor vehicle with a drive unit connected to a gearbox via a torque transfer unit can be operated in creep mode when preset or adjustable parameters are met so that a creep torque is applied to the vehicle drive wheels. The driver initiates creep mode by activating a vehicle control organ, especially by pressing a foot-pedal less than a threshold amount, when the vehicle is moving at a speed less than a limiting value. The invention also relates to a corresponding method for vehicle operation.
