Method and apparatus for controlling the brake application energy of electronic controlled braking systems of vehicles

The wheel brake temperatures are monitored during braking, and the calculated brake temperatures are compared between front and rear axles (VA, HA) and with predetermined limiting values. If a temperature limit is exceeded during braking, braking energy is reduced to the wheels where the temperature limit has been exceeded and increased to the wheels with a temperature lower than the temperature limit.
