Source
Zinc powder or zinc alloyed powder is used as an electrode and has a grain size distribution, in which 75-95 weight percent of particles have a diameter of between 40 and 140 microns. Settled apparent density lies in a range of between 2.9 and 4.5 g/cm3. Metals are chosen as alloyed elements from a group including indium, bismuth, lead, aluminum, calcium, lithium, sodium, magnesium and mixtures. An Independent claim is also included for an alkali battery with zinc powder as an anode.
