Wheel with a spring unit
DRIVE
October 22, 2003
A wheel with a spring unit includes a rim (10), a disc (20) and a plurality of spring units (30). Each spring unit (30) is directed circumferentially and arranged in an annular space between the rim (10) and the disc (20). Each spring unit (30) includes at least one metal spring (34). The metal spring (34) may be a coil spring (34A) or a leaf spring (34B), and may be prestressed in compression or tension. To restrict the lateral relative movement between the rim (10) and the disc (20), a pair of stopper ribs (31, 32) are disposed on opposite sides of the spring unit (30), or an axial movement stopper (62) is disposed at axially outboard end of the wheel.
