The invention describes an infant/child vehicle safety seat (1), comprising: a base (2); a carriage (3) adapted to receive a passenger; and an extendable mechanism (4) attaching said carriage to said base, said extendable mechanism adapted to move said carriage to an outboard passenger loading position and to a passenger riding position.
