Driver assistance method and human-machine interface for its implementation

The driver aid is provided by a control unit (2) interacting with a driver-operated control. The driver interface is implemented in the turn indicator switch (P11), and uses a capacitive sensor to detect the approach of the driver's hand and, if the system perceives danger, an electric motor to alert the driver by vibration (3).
