The motor vehicle's tank has a hollow cylindrical body (1) divided into two chambers (3,4) by a partitioning wall (2) which on its circumference has an edge which is bent over in the direction of the longitudinal axis and has a central outwards protruding bead extending in the circumferential direction. The hollow body is formed from separate cylindrical segments (7,8) which are assembled via the interconnection of the partitioning wall. The cylindrical segments are welded to the flanks of the bead.
