The pump delivery volume and hence the driving speed for road travel is dependent on the current gas pedal setting. The engine revolution rate can be controlled via an electronic gas pedal. Changes in revolution rate are measured electronically and the displacement pump delivery volume is increased or reduced according to the measured revolution rate. The device has a diesel engine (1) as a central drive source, a displacement pump (3) and at least one hydraulic motor (5), whereby the pump delivery volume and hence the driving speed for road travel is dependent on the current gas pedal (7) setting. The revolution rate of the diesel engine can be controlled via an electronic gas pedal. The change in revolution rate is measured electronically and the displacement pump delivery volume is increased or reduced according to the measured revolution rate.",
