Method and apparatus for drying an evaporator in an air conditioning system

The air conditioning system has a heater (1) and an evaporator (2) with 2 heat exchangers in an air conducting housing (3) with at least one blower air inlet and several outlets with variable closure mechanisms. At least one variable air control element (40,50) is arranged in the air conducting housing before and/or after the heat exchangers for influencing the air throughput of the heat exchangers.
