Sealing panel for a motor vehicle

Motor vehicle sealing and insulating panel comprises one of at least one layer of a thermoplastic material (16) , with a layer or bead of adhesive (14) on one side for fixing to a support (10). Adjacent to the adhesive layer or bead the thermoplastic material has a zone containing a reserve of material with a corrugated or similar shape (18) to compensate for variations in its dimensions. Motor vehicle sealing and insulating panel comprises one of at least one layer of a thermoplastic material (16) e.g. closed cell polyolefin foam, with a layer or bead of adhesive (14) on one side for fixing to a support (10) of e.g. sheet metal. Adjacent to the adhesive layer or bead the thermoplastic material has a zone containing a reserve of material with a corrugated or similar shape (18) to compensate for variations in its dimensions due to e.g. shrinkage. The reserve can be made by thermoforming.
