Safety device for a comfort seat

The device has a seat belt system having a belt-retracting mechanism (6), a belt strap, and a belt buckle. The belt strap is fixed in a region of a seat surface (3) by a belt end fitting (9) and stored on the belt-retracting mechanism. A pretensioning system is engaged on belt end fitting. The belt-retracting mechanism and pretensioning system tighten the belt strap in the event of an accident. The belt-retracting mechanism is arranged in the upper region of a backrest (2). The belt buckle is arranged on one side of the seat surface opposite the belt end fitting to couple the belt strap by a belt tongue according to a three-point belt system.
